One Time, I Won a Spelling Bee.

Monday, January 13, 2014

You know it's Monday when you break out the label maker and then start spelling things wrong.
Like "timeline" which I subconsciously decided didn't need the letter e so I ended up with "timlin." Sorry, work, I used up a lot of the label maker papers. After making about 50 labels, including the typos, I organized the craft closets and took inventory which resulted in me color coding markers and crayons while listening to the first podcast I have ever subscribed to, "Get Up On This." If you are in the market for a new podcast or you're not up to date on cool new things (like me) you should try out, listen to this! I think they are absolutely hilarious and the most recent show has some really neat, fun things to try out like apps and music!
My weekend revolved around good food, friends, family, and celebrities. I'd say that was a successful weekend! Friday night I went ice skating in Santa Monica with Erika and Christina and I only fell once. I'd say I deserve an award, but some of you probably think that I shouldn't have fallen at all. Well, sorry I'm not a professional ice skater and falling only once is like winning the gold medal for me. Can you tell how excited I am for the Winter Olympics?

We also ate at Tender Greens, finally, and it was delicious and lived up to all expectations.

Saturday morning we woke up and went to Venice to get 19 3 different types of French Toast.

We then wanted to head over to Emily, from Cupcakes and Cashmere's garage sale but right as we put it in the GPS, she intagrammed that everything sold out. It was meant to be, though, because my dad then got a phone call from the Golden Globes red carpet saying they were having camera troubles. *Cue my mom and I freaking out, asking to get red carpet passes* Due to us freaking out, my dad decided that he would amuse us, not tell them how to fix it on the phone, and ended up driving us to the Beverly Hilton. Yay!

After the ooh-ing and aah-ing on the red carpet, we headed home, ran some errands, and then went to dinner with family friends and had some very very delicious Chinese food next to the hugest crabs I have ever seen in my life.

The Sunday morning ritual continued with a trip to the farmer's market, Trader Joe's, and Gelsons. I came home to watch Vampire Diaries, I am almost done with season 4, the last season on Netflix and I don't know what I am going to do after. Maybe watch The Originals? Okay, twist my arm. OH! And Jason? Family friend we went to dinner with, who's wedding I wrote on in November? Yeah, he's friends with the guy that plays Elijah, my favorite original. Casual. I also painted my nails... Neon coral, because I think it's summer.

China Glaze: Flip Flop Fantasy

Sunday night was composed of delicious truffle cheese, criticizing fashion choices, and watching my favorite celebrities get drunk.

That's the purpose of award shows right?

My favorite part of the night. Double fisting, done right.

Now, my favorite dresses:

Being Fergalicious On Top Of The World

"Four, tres, two, uno...
I'll be up in the gym Runyon Canyon just working on my fitness, he's Kim's my witness, oooh wheee"
Well, that just happened. And guess what? I survived a hike, and I didn't hate it. I actually kind of loved it. I felt so incredibly amazing afterwards.

Like not the way I feel after I go to the gym, or do my at home workout with "Pat" the evil workout app man, like I actually did something productive with my day and was able to catch up with my friends and see cute dogs. Yeah, sorry, had to throw that part in there.

Today I went to Runyon Canyon with my favorite sisters and had so much fun! After, of course, I thought they were trying to kill me (even though going hiking was my idea.)

Do you see the Hollywood sign?! Anyways, hiking turned into a mini photo-shoot, as all of us had on no makeup and our hair had their own minds...

We then had post-hike acai bowls and free green juice samples. Yum.

I came home to go get a pedicure with my mom, hi mom! And got some ramen...
But it wasn't that great, but oh well, it was some what light and I didn't feel like I ate the calories I burned on my hike, because that's how I see exercise, clearly... (hi, Christine!)

Now I want to go hiking all the time! It made me feel so good about life and my body wasn't sore (let's see how it is tomorrow.)

Speaking of tomorrow, wish me luck for my potential job interview and then I'm going to Victoria's Secret, because guess what? They're still having their semi-annual sale!

And now, here is a motivational "back that azz up."

Is This Being A Grown-Up?

Thursday, January 9, 2014

Someone is looking out for me and I don't know who or why. Maybe this is my year? Everyone says that. But as of now, 2014 looks like it will be the year of job opportunities for me. As of now, this upcoming semester I might potentially have three jobs... and school. But I'm not stressing out yet because nothing is official because I am being a patient grown-up and waiting for people to respond from my resume hire me emails. (Don't worry, they were much more professional.) I already have my job at the Law School, but this semester I am in an internship class so I had to send out some fun emails telling people why they should allow me to work for free in their office. Fun stuff, right? So I sent out three emails, and have heard back from two *insert party emoji here* which is pretty impressive, seeing as I usually don't hear back for like a week.
So, as of now I will have my law school job and an internship which won't be too bad, because then I technically have only 3 classes. I can do that.

Here comes in the grown-up part. I may or may not be getting a promotion at my job at home. For those of you who don't follow me on Twitter, which you should because I think I'm funny, I am a counselor at a Day Camp whenever I am home so winter, summer, and sometimes spring but usually not because I like my spring break and it is usually not when I am home. Oops. Anyways, so yes, I might be moving up on the food chain there, but I get more details on that tomorrow, along with the drama of me moving up at the age of 20 but I'm sorry, should I say no to a promotion? I mean I could, but again, nothing is set in stone.

My main concern is that if I do get the promotion that I won't be able to be a counselor and hang out directly with the kids which I would hate because as much as I complain about them, I love them.
So that is my updated what is going on in my life, and again, I have more updates coming soon (as soon as I hear back from everyone, yay waiting.)

Until we hear back from everyone, here are some fun pictures!

I'm convinced my dog is a model. She is literally so photogenic.

And then yesterday, I went to Knott's for field trip day and I thought I was cool because I had a lot of snapchats, but I wasn't so that's cool too...

My favorite thing at Knott's Berry Farm! Delicioussssness. I want to go to San Diego and get the real deal though.

See, she's a model.
Wish me luck on my hike today! Yes, hike.

Looking For The "Juan"

Tuesday, January 7, 2014

So many puns, so little time. I was looking forward to finding my top five or so girls, seeing Sean, and determining who the next drama girl would be. I didn't get the last one, and I am sad. If you haven't realized already, yes I am talking about the Bachelor. Why? Because I don't know what else to post about... Work with me.
So you're one of those girls who watches that show?
I like it. I like the drama. I like seeing where they travel. But more importantly, I love me and my friends commentary (along with Jaclyn Swartz's twitter commentary because she is hilarious). Last year, I went over to my friend Rachel's for the finale episodes, but last night my parents had company over so I stayed home. And this is why I love the person who created texting. THANK YOU!

PS Carolina has a blog and we kind of share a mind and wrote on the same thing because great minds think alike!

Anyways, so this year came a twist! A Bachelor Fantasy League. So am I creating one? Kind of. I will give you my top girls, who I think is going to stir up the house, and then I am going to go to work, because that is what grown ups do, right? Cool. So yesterday this link was posted in my sorority's Facebook page but I simplified it and I am just putting my top 6 because let's be honest here, the first and only time I filled out a fantasy league I did it wrong so there's that.

Renee

Lauren

I also like Elise
BACH18bioThumb14
but something just didn't click... But she does sort of remind me of Lesley and I am obsessed with her so we shall see. Her dress was amazing.

And then there is Sharleen, who I do not understand. So I am not ranking her.
